QIAseq FastSelect -Globin Kit (8)

Globin-rich RNA samples such as whole blood, peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and red blood cell lysates contain abundant alpha and beta globin transcripts that can dominate sequencing outputs. This QIAGEN kit uses a rapid probe-based hybridization approach to remove these globin mRNAs during RNA-seq library preparation, completing the depletion step in approximately 14 minutes when integrated directly into first-strand cDNA synthesis.

The probe set targets human globin mRNAs including HBA, HBB, HBD, and HBG family transcripts while leaving non-globin transcripts available for downstream analysis. Each kit provides 8 single-use reactions and supports construction of RNA-seq libraries from total RNA inputs ranging between 1 ng and 1 μg. The workflow is compatible with Illumina sequencing platforms and integrates with QIAseq stranded library preparation reagents for research use only applications.

Store the reagents at -20°C, protected from light, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve probe performance.
