QIAseq Beads (400mL)

QIAGEN's magnetic bead reagent supports cleanup and size-selection during next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation. The beads efficiently remove adapter dimers, salts, enzymes and other unwanted components, helping to deliver high-quality libraries.

Designed for efficient and precise library-size selection, the reagent is cost effective and automation compatible, suiting both automated and manual purification of PCR products and fragmented DNA. It is supplied in a bulk format suited to high-throughput workflows and is compatible with standard magnetic racks and liquid handlers.

The size-selection workflow involves incubating the sample with the beads for 5 minutes, washing twice with ethanol and drying for 10 minutes, pelleting the beads on a magnetic stand, and eluting the nucleic acids into a new tube. The manufacturer's protocol specifies DNA binding for 5 minutes at room temperature, clearing on a magnetic stand for 5 minutes, two washes with 200 µL of 80% ethanol, and elution of the pellet in 6 µL of Buffer EB.
