QIAquick PCR Purification Kit (50)

QIAGEN's silica-membrane-based purification kit provides spin columns, buffers, and collection tubes for cleaning up PCR products greater than 100 bp. DNA of up to 10 kb is purified using a simple and fast bind-wash-elute procedure with an elution volume of 30–50 μl. An optional pH indicator allows easy determination of the optimal pH for DNA binding to the spin column.

The kit has a binding capacity of 10 µg and removes primers, nucleotides, enzymes, mineral oil, salts, agarose, ethidium bromide, and other impurities from DNA samples, including fragments smaller than 40mers. It recovers both ssDNA and dsDNA from PCR and other enzymatic reactions across a size range of 100 bp to 10 kb. Specialized binding buffers promote selective adsorption of DNA molecules within that range, and a GelPilot Loading Dye containing xylene cyanol, bromophenol blue, and orange G is provided to assist with agarose gel analysis.

Spin columns can be used with a conventional table-top microcentrifuge or onto any vacuum manifold with luer connectors, such as the QIAvac 24 Plus with QIAvac Luer Adapters. The procedure can be fully automated on the QIAcube Connect, and standard protocols can also be executed using the TRACKMAN Connected system paired with Bluetooth-enabled Gilson PIPETMAN M Connected pipettes. Purified DNA is ready for direct use in sequencing, microarray analysis, ligation and transformation, restriction digestion, labeling, microinjection, PCR, and in vitro transcription.
