QIAquick Nucleotide Removal Kit (250)

From QIAGEN, this kit uses silica-membrane technology for rapid cleanup of oligonucleotides and DNA from enzymatic reactions. It removes primers, unincorporated nucleotides, enzymes, salts, mineral oil, agarose, ethidium bromide, and other impurities in a simple bind-wash-elute procedure. The kit recovers oligonucleotides (17–40mers) at 60–80% and dsDNA (40 bp – 10 kb) at 80–95%, with a binding capacity of 10 µg and a minimum elution volume of 30 µl. Fragments smaller than 10mers are removed.

The spin columns can be processed manually using a microcentrifuge or fully automated on the QIAcube Connect. Elution is performed with Buffer EB (10 mM Tris·Cl, pH 8.5), and gel loading dye is included to support faster sample processing. Purified DNA is ready for downstream applications such as sequencing, microarray analysis, ligation and transformation, restriction digestion, labeling, and microinjection.

The kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease. Storage recommendation is dry at room temperature (15–25°C); under these conditions the kit can be stored for at least 12 months without reduction in performance.
