QIAprep Spin Miniprep Kit (250)

From QIAGEN, this spin miniprep kit is designed for the isolation of high-purity plasmid or cosmid DNA for use in routine molecular biology applications, including fluorescent and radioactive sequencing and cloning. Standard protocols yield up to 20 µg of DNA, and even higher yields (up to 30 µg) can be achieved using the High-Yield Supplementary Protocol.

The workflow can be automated on the QIAcube Connect, and QIAGEN recommends pairing the kit with QIAvac 24 Plus for optimal results. Standard protocols can additionally be executed using the TRACKMAN Connected system paired with Gilson PIPETMAN M Connected pipettes: the system guides researchers through the protocol while automatically adjusting Bluetooth-enabled pipette settings, and each step of protocol execution is recorded to accelerate reporting by generating a comprehensive run report.

QIAGEN has partnered with My Green Lab to assess the environmental impact of this kit using ACT (accountability, consistency, and transparency) labels. Products are scored from 1 to 10 on several sustainability criteria, except for energy and water consumption, which are scored as one point per kWh or gallon respectively, with a lower score indicating a lower environmental impact.
