QIAprep&amp Viral RNA UM Kit (2400)

A viral RNA preparation kit from QIAGEN designed for scalable processing in high-throughput laboratories. The kit is optimized for ultrafast sample preparation and sensitive real-time PCR detection of enveloped RNA viruses such as coronaviruses from human samples, including nasal, oro- and nasopharyngeal swabs collected in non-fixation transport media such as UTM, VTM, PBS, 0.9% NaCl, Virocult and eSwab. It is also compatible with neat saliva and gargle samples.

The workflow features fewer and simpler steps that accelerate turnaround time, increase testing frequency, and reduce plastic usage, cost, and hands-on time. RNA yield and purity are optimized for downstream applications such as NGS or RT-qPCR, with UMI-compatible workflows and compatibility with common automation solutions. The kit uses magnetic bead-based technology and includes QA controls. Additional features include UNG decontamination and room-temperature shipment.
