Designed by QIAGEN for the isolation of high-molecular-weight genomic DNA from whole blood and cultured cells, this Maxi Kit delivers DNA suitable for downstream applications such as long-read sequencing, PCR and library preparation. The kit is built around QIAGEN Genomic-tip 500/G columns and uses gravity-flow anion-exchange technology, which avoids the use of toxic reagents such as phenol and chloroform and enables preparation of pure genomic DNA in less than 3 hours.
