QIAcuity Nanoplate 8.5k 24-well (50)

QIAGEN nanoplate designed for use with the QIAcuity Digital PCR System, a nanoplate-based platform that automates partitioning, thermocycling and imaging in a single integrated walk-away workflow. The 24-well plate contains 8.5K partitions per well with a 12 µl reaction volume per well, and is supplied with Nanoplate seals for sealing the plate before loading into the instrument.

Sample preparation follows a qPCR-like workflow in which diluted samples and a master mix containing probes and primers are pipetted into the nanoplate, a rubber plate seal is applied, and the plate is placed in the QIAcuity instrument, delivering results in about two hours. The system divides each bulk reaction into thousands of individual partitions to determine the presence (1) or absence (0) of the target, enabling absolute quantification of copies/µl without the need for standard curves as used in qPCR.

Multiple wells can be grouped and analyzed as a single well (a "hyperwell") to achieve higher accuracy when the sample volume to be analyzed exceeds what can be loaded into a single well, an approach that is helpful for rare event detection.
