QIAamp UltraSens Virus Kit (50)

A viral nucleic acid extraction kit from QIAGEN, designed for high-sensitivity recovery of viral DNA and RNA from low-titer specimens. The kit handles sample volumes of 1000 µl and employs carrier/RNA stabilization chemistry to improve yield, making it well-suited for clinical diagnostics and research requiring maximum sensitivity and reliable downstream detection by RT-PCR.

Using QIAGEN's proprietary silica-membrane technology, the workflow concentrates viral nucleic acid from plasma and serum samples before purification, delivering pure viral DNA/RNA free of contaminants. Protocols can be performed manually, under vacuum, or automated on the QIAcube. The kit includes QIAamp Mini Spin Columns, Proteinase K, Carrier RNA, Collection Tubes (2 ml), and Buffers.
