QIAamp UCP Pathogen Mini Kit (50)

QIAGEN's QIAamp UCP Pathogen Mini Kit provides ultra-clean microbial DNA and RNA extraction from low-biomass samples, supporting sensitive pathogen detection workflows. The kit is intended for microbial DNA purification from small volumes of whole blood, swabs, cultures, and body fluids.

When used with Pathogen Lysis Tubes, the kit delivers efficient cell lysis and high yields of pathogen DNA. Pathogen Lysis Tubes with bead types S or L are available as accessories and provide mechanical disruption for maximal lysis efficiency of Gram-positive bacteria, yeast, and other fungi. Ultraclean production (UCP) reagents and consumables help ensure high-quality purified DNA for downstream applications. The included QIAamp UCP Mini Columns and all buffers undergo DNA decontamination processes and are certified for the functional absence of bacterial and fungal DNA at the time of delivery.

Tailored sample pretreatment protocols pair with simplified spin or vacuum protocols to enable microbial DNA purification. When used with the QIAvac 24 Plus, the kit accommodates starting samples of up to 400 µl with flexible elution volumes from 50 to 200 µl, allowing multiple samples to be processed simultaneously and pure nucleic acids to be obtained in less than 2 hours per 24 samples.
