Buffer AL contains guanidine hydrochloride and is classified as harmful and irritant. QIAGEN Protease contains subtilisin and is classified as a sensitizer and irritant. When working with these chemicals, a suitable lab coat, disposable gloves, and protective goggles should be worn; Buffer AL must not be combined directly with bleach or acidic solutions.
