Description

From QIAGEN, the qBiomarker Copy Number PCR Arrays are highly reliable tools for profiling copy number variation and alterations, including amplifications and deletions of DNA segments. The arrays feature SYBR Green primer assays within a thoroughly researched panel of pathway- or disease-focused loci with documented amplifications or deletions, and custom panels can also be tailored to specific research interests.

The system delivers focused copy number profiling for any real-time instrument, drawing on over 11.6 million laboratory-verified assays, and is offered in 96-well plate, 384-well plate, or 100-well disc formats. Each plate contains 23 or 95 locus-specific assays alongside a qBiomarker Multi-Copy Reference Copy Number PCR Assay, run in quadruple replicates, enabling amplification of locus-specific products simultaneously under uniform cycling conditions. The Multi-Copy Reference assay is reported to deliver superior normalization compared with single-locus references such as RNase P or TERT.

The workflow begins with isolation of DNA from research samples, including cell, tissue, blood, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples. DNA is combined with qBiomarker SYBR Mastermix and pipetted onto the array before running on a real-time PCR instrument, and results are analyzed using the complimentary, web-based data analysis tool. Available disease, pathway, and custom panels include Birth Defects, Glioma, Intellectual Disability, Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer, Kinases & Phosphatases, Oncogenes & Tumor Suppressors, Prostate Cancer, Gastric Cancer, Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and WNT signaling. The arrays are compatible with real-time PCR instruments from QIAGEN, Agilent/Stratagene, Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad, Eppendorf, Roche, and TaKaRa.
