Description
A targeted pyrosequencing kit from QIAGEN designed for quantitative analysis of LINE-1 CpG methylation. The assay is optimised for use with the PyroMark Q96 system and is suited to measuring global methylation surrogates in bisulfite-converted DNA, with reproducibility aimed at epigenetic studies.
According to a published protocol, the kit is applied to assess the quality of bisulfite-converted DNA by pyrosequencing of LINE-1, where samples that pass the bisulfite modification control contained within the assay are considered suitable for downstream methylation analyses.
