PyroMark Q48 AutoPrep Starter Kit

QIAGEN's PyroMark Q48 AutoPrep Starter Kit supplies the essential reagents and consumables required to begin automated sample preparation within the PyroMark Q48 system. It is designed to streamline initial instrument setup and protocol validation, supporting reproducible magnetic separation and cleanup of PCR products for downstream Pyrosequencing analysis.

Included components are PyroMark Q48 Magnetic Beads, PyroMark Q48 Advanced CpG Reagents, PyroMark Control Oligo, PyroMark Q48 Discs, and PyroMark Q48 Absorber Strips. Together these provide what is needed to capture templates with streptavidin-coated magnetic beads, load the dedicated disc, and run automated template preparation followed by Pyrosequencing on the PyroMark Q48 Autoprep instrument.

The PyroMark Q48 Autoprep platform processes 1–48 samples per run at a sequencing volume of 25 ul, with software support for SNP, Allele Quantification (AQ), CpG and CpN methylation, and SEQ (unknown sequence) analyses. Listed main applications include genetic testing, epigenetics, and microbiology. According to QIAGEN, the updated PyroMark "Advanced" chemistry and algorithms enable highly accurate read lengths of 140 or more bases in a single reaction, while Multiple Primer Dispensation (MPD) can increase automated sequencing primer dispensation by a factor of 4 or more, providing a fully automated workflow for 12 or more sequencing primers per run.
