Plate Stacker, detachable, BR8000

A detachable automation module for the QIAsymphony SP/AS workstation, the QIAGEN BR8000 Plate Stacker delivers SBS-format microplates sequentially to the processing deck to extend walk-away operation during purification and primary sample preparation runs. Once docked onto the QIAsymphony tower, the unit removes the manual plate-loading step for protocols such as nucleic acid extraction, assay setup, and PCR plate preparation, freeing laboratory staff for other tasks. After a batch completes, the modular plate handler lifts off the host instrument to clear bench space without disrupting calibration. SBS-format deep-well and standard microplates are presented to the pipetting head without operator intervention, supporting overnight and weekend protocols in clinical and research laboratories handling high sample volumes. The Plate Stacker integrates with other primary sample technology modules in the QIAsymphony lineup to scale throughput for molecular biology workflows, including in vitro diagnostic research and routine sample processing pipelines.
