QX Buffer Tray

A workstation accessory from QIAGEN designed for the organized placement of buffers, vials and small accessories used in QX workflows. The tray helps prevent spills and cross-contamination during reagent handling and setup, and is chemical-resistant and easy to clean. It is designed to fit standard QX workstations.

According to the QIAxcel user manual, the tray holds QX Separation and Wash Buffers and features three positions labelled WP, WI and BUF. The WP and WI positions are filled with 8 ml of QX DNA or RNA Wash Buffer, and the BUF position is filled with 18 ml of QX DNA or RNA Separation Buffer. Setup guidance indicates that the tray can be washed in warm water using a mild detergent and rinsed thoroughly with deionized or reverse-osmosis water. Mineral oil is added to cover all three positions to prevent evaporation: 2 ml to WP and WI, and 4 ml to BUF.
