OneStep Ahead RT-PCR Kit (50)

Designed by QIAGEN for fast and easy one-step RT-PCR setup, this kit supports virus detection, molecular diagnostics research, and gene expression analysis. Reaction setup can be performed at room temperature by adding the RT-enzyme mix, primers, and template to the master mix in a single tube before starting the thermal-cycler program.

The kit combines Sensiscript and Omniscript reverse transcriptases, accommodating a wide range of RNA amounts, together with a hot-start high-fidelity polymerase. It includes a master mix containing DNA polymerases, buffers, and dNTPs in a proprietary dual-cation buffer system, plus an RNase inhibitor and Q-Solution for facilitating amplification of GC-rich templates. Optional orange and blue dyes serve as pipetting controls and gel tracking dyes.

Configured for end-point single or duplex RT-PCR with heat-mediated activation, the kit supports amplification of targets up to 4 kb with a cycling time of approximately one hour.
