OneStep Ahead RT-PCR Kit (2000)

From QIAGEN, this kit performs one-step RT-PCR in which cDNA synthesis and PCR take place in the same tube. Reaction setup is fast, with a total run time of around 60 minutes. A built-in visual pipetting control uses a blue Template Tracer dye and an orange Master Mix Tracer dye that turn green when combined, helping to verify correct pipetting during reaction set-up. These same dyes also serve as gel loading and tracking dyes.

The kit provides superior room-temperature stability for convenient reaction setup, with hot-start RT enzymes that remain inactive at ambient temperatures. It is designed for sensitive and specific detection of low-abundance RNA, and incorporates Q-Solution to facilitate reliable reverse transcription of GC-rich templates.
