Ni-NTA Magnetic Agarose Beads (6 x 1 ml)

Magnetic agarose beads from QIAGEN enable affinity purification of 6xHis-tagged proteins in single reaction tubes. The beads are supplied as a 5% (v/v) suspension in 30% ethanol and should be stored at 2–8°C, where they remain stable for up to 6 months if not otherwise stated on the label.

The accompanying quick-start protocol describes native cell lysis using lysozyme together with Benzonase nuclease (with optional addition of RNase A and DNase I), followed by incubation of the bead suspension with the lysate on an end-over-end shaker, capture on a magnetic separator, wash and elution steps.
