The Mouse/Rat Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) was tested for biological activity by its ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells. Cell migration was measured after 45 min using a fluorometric assay method, with an increase in migration over basal level seen starting at 10 ng/mL. In SDS-PAGE analysis, 1 μg of the protein was resolved under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining, showing a predicted molecular mass of 7.9 kDa.

The product is designed for use in research areas such as immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse CD4+ T cells, immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse B cells, and the macrophage inflammatory protein-1 beta workflow.
