The biological activity of Mouse/Rat Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) was tested by its ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells. Cell migration was measured after 45 min using a fluorometric assay method, with an increase in migration over basal level seen starting at 10 ng/mL. In SDS-PAGE analysis, 1 μg of the protein was resolved under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining, showing a predicted molecular mass of 7.9 kDa.

The material is supplied as a solid powder and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). It is chemically stable under normal conditions and should be kept in containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
