Ms Recom TPO, 1000 µg

Supplied by STEMCELL Technologies, this mouse thrombopoietin (TPO) reagent is provided as a solid powder for use as a laboratory reagent. TPO is a key regulator of megakaryocytopoiesis and thrombopoiesis, both in vitro and in vivo.

Biological activity is determined by the protein's ability to promote proliferation of MO7e cells, measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 — defined as the effective concentration at which cell proliferation reaches 50% of maximum — is 0.92 ng/mL. When 5 μg of Mouse Recombinant TPO is resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized with Coomassie Blue staining, the protein shows a predicted molecular mass of 35 kDa and an apparent molecular mass of approximately 75 kDa due to glycosylation.

According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the product is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), is stable under normal conditions, and is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO, IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN.
