The manufacturer's product page describes IL-7 as regulating the survival of naïve and memory CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, αβ and γδ T cells, NKT cells, innate lymphoid cells, and T regulatory cells. Biological activity was tested by the ability of this recombinant preparation to promote the proliferation of 2E8 cells, measured by a fluorometric assay, with an EC50 of less than 0.4 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions shows a predicted molecular mass of 15 kDa, with the protein migrating to an apparent molecular mass of ~24 kDa.
