Ms Recom IL-22, 100 µg

Mouse Recombinant IL-22, supplied by STEMCELL Technologies, is a bioactive interleukin that stimulates the expression of antimicrobial peptides from epithelial cells, thereby hindering bacterial infections.

According to the manufacturer, potency was determined by the protein's ability to induce IL-10 production in COLO 205 cells, with IL-10 secretion measured after 4 days of culture using a fluorometric assay. The EC50 in this system is 0.15–0.23 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualised by Coomassie Blue staining, indicates a predicted molecular mass of 16.8 kDa.

The cytokine is referenced alongside related immune mediators including interferon-gamma, interleukin 10, and tumour necrosis factor alpha.
