Ms Recom IL-2, 20 µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers Mouse Recombinant IL-2, a recombinant protein described as downregulating immune responses during thymic development and influencing the development of regulatory T cells and follicular helper T cells.

Biological activity was tested by the protein's ability to promote the proliferation of CTLL-2 cells, with cell proliferation measured after 3 days of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the protein at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. In the example shown, the EC50 is 1.12 ng/mL.

The product has a predicted molecular mass of 17.4 kDa, and 1 μg of the protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
