Ms Recom IL-2, 100 µg

A recombinant mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2) preparation supplied by STEMCELL Technologies is described in the manufacturer's product information as playing a role in downregulating immune responses during thymic development and in influencing the development of regulatory T cells and follicular helper T cells. The biological activity of Mouse Recombinant IL-2 was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of CTLL-2 cells, with cell proliferation measured after 3 days of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the protein at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum; the EC50 in the example shown is 1.12 ng/mL.

For purity analysis, 1 μg of Mouse Recombinant IL-2 was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
