Ms IgG3,k Ctrl, MG3-35, BT, 200µg

This mouse monoclonal reagent from STEMCELL Technologies is an IgG3, kappa isotype control antibody, Clone MG3-35, designed for use as an isotype-matched control to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. Ideally, the isotype control should share the same subclass of heavy chain and light chain type as the specific antibody in use, and a conjugated isotype control should be conjugated to the same molecule (e.g., fluorochrome) as the antigen-specific reagent.

Including this isotype-matched control helps confirm the specificity of the antigen-specific antibody and indicates non-specific binding that may result from interactions with Fc receptors or other cell components. The MG3-35 clone has been verified for use as an isotype control antibody for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy, including both surface and intracellular staining.

The reagent is available in several conjugated formats. According to manufacturer data, unconjugated, Alexa Fluor® 488, Biotin, FITC, and PE preparations of the antibody have been characterized.
