STEMCELL Technologies offers this Mouse IgG2b, kappa Isotype Control Antibody, Clone MPC-11, conjugated to PE. The antibody is suitable for use as an isotype-matched control for estimating the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. An appropriate isotype control should share the same heavy chain subclass (IgG2b) and light chain (kappa) as the specific antibody, and when a conjugated antibody is used, an isotype control conjugated to the same molecule should be chosen.

This clone has been verified for use as an isotype control antibody for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy, including surface and intracellular staining. It is also listed for use in ELISA, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, Western blot, and functional assays.
