This isotype control antibody is supplied by STEMCELL Technologies and is a mouse IgG2b, kappa monoclonal antibody, Clone MPC-11, conjugated to APC. The MPC-11 antibody is suitable for use as an isotype-matched control to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody; the manufacturer recommends that the isotype control match the heavy chain subclass and light chain type of the specific antibody being employed, and that a conjugated isotype control be paired with a specific antibody conjugated to the same molecule.

The antibody has been verified for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy, including surface and intracellular staining. Demonstrated data show flow cytometry analysis of human buffy coat nucleated cells labeled with the APC-conjugated format. The host species is mouse and the isotype is IgG2b, kappa.
