Ms IgG1,k Ctrl, X40, PE, 100tests

This PE-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa isotype control antibody, clone X40, is supplied by STEMCELL Technologies for use in flow cytometry. The antibody is derived from the hybridization of Sp2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), and it reacts specifically with KLH, an antigen not expressed on human cells or human cell lines. As an isotype-matched control, it is intended to mirror the heavy-chain subclass and light-chain type of a specific antibody and, where applicable, the same conjugate, to help confirm antibody specificity and reveal non-specific binding to Fc receptors or other cellular components.

The product is verified for flow cytometry, with a suggested use of 20 μL per 1 x 10⁶ cells in 100 μL volume; titration is recommended for optimal performance in each application. The antibody was purified by column chromatography and is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide and gelatin. For storage, the product should be kept undiluted at 2 - 8°C, protected from prolonged exposure to light and not frozen.
