Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this Clone MOPC-21 reagent is a mouse IgG1, kappa isotype control antibody that has been verified for estimating the degree of non-specific binding to cells by a primary antibody. It is intended for use as a negative control in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining experiments.

Validation data from the manufacturer demonstrate its application in flow cytometry analysis of dendritic cells derived from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), and in immunofluorescence labeling of human embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Data figures in the product information describe performance with unconjugated, Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, PE, and PerCP-Cy5.5 conjugates.
