Ms IgG1,k Ctrl, MOPC-21, AD, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa isotype control antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone MOPC-21, supplied conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488. The reagent is intended as an isotype-matched control for estimating the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody; ideally the isotype control shares the same heavy- and light-chain subclass and the same conjugate as the primary reagent in use.

The MOPC-21 antibody is produced by a mineral oil-induced plasmacytoma cell line and has unknown binding specificity, having been screened on activated, resting, live, and fixed tissues from mouse, rat, human, and non-human primates. Verified applications include flow cytometry (FC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence microscopy (IF) for assessing non-specific binding in surface and intracellular staining. The host species is mouse (BALB/c). The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 488, and is formulated in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin.

For stability, the conjugate should be stored at 2 – 8 °C undiluted, protected from prolonged exposure to light, and not frozen.
