miRNeasy 96 Tissue/Cell Advanced Kit (4)

This phenol-free kit from QIAGEN is designed for purification of microRNA and total RNA from animal tissues and cells, including small samples. It uses a 96-well plate format that allows up to 192 samples to be processed in parallel via manual centrifugation or a vacuum/spin workflow on the QIAvac 96 manifold. The chemistry combines guanidine-based sample lysis (Buffer RLT) with silica-membrane-based purification and includes a Proteinase K digestion step for difficult-to-lyse tissues, together with gDNA Eliminator plates for on-column removal of genomic DNA.

Up to 50 mg of tissue and up to 1 x 10^7 cells can be processed per prep, and total RNA — including miRNA and other small RNA molecules ≥18 nucleotides — is eluted in 50 or 100 µL of RNase-free water (default 70–100 µL, minimum 45 µL). Purified RNA is suitable for NGS, real-time RT-PCR, digital PCR and microarray workflows, with Agilent RIN or QIAxcel Connect System RIS values close to 10 routinely obtained from tissues and cultured cells. The kit is shipped and stored at room temperature (15–25°C), with components stable for at least 9 months; eluted RNA can be stored long term at −30 to −15°C. The product is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease.
