miRCURY LNA RNA Spike-in kit

Quality control of the RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, and PCR amplification steps in miRCURY LNA miRNA PCR workflows is supported by QIAGEN's RNA Spike-In Kit for RT. The premixed format lets users select only the spike-ins needed for a particular analysis.

The kit contains synthetic UniSp2, UniSp4, UniSp5, and UniSp6 spike-in RNAs, which resemble miRNAs in structure but lack close sequence similarity to known miRNAs, plus a synthetic version of the C. elegans miRNA cel-miR-39-3p. MS2 carrier RNA is included to support spike-in stability without interfering with downstream reactions.

Used together with the miRCURY LNA miRNA QC PCR Panel, the kit enables assessment of sample quality and PCR efficiency across cell cultures, tissue samples, and biofluids from human, mouse, rat, monkey, and dog. It also allows evaluation of isolated RNA to identify outliers and suboptimal samples, including serum/plasma affected by hemolysis. The kit is compatible with miRCURY LNA miRNA PCR Assays and Panels, including individual assays for SYBR Green and probe-based systems. LNA primer sets are purchased separately, except for UniSp6, which ships with the miRCURY LNA RT Kit.
