miRCURY LNA™ miRNA QC PCR Panel - 16 Panels on 2x 96-well plate

For quality control of RNA samples prior to qPCR profiling, the miRCURY LNA miRNA QC PCR Panel from QIAGEN contains LNA-enhanced PCR primer sets targeting miRNAs and spike-ins. The panel checks the quality of isolated RNA, identifies outlier samples, detects nucleases and PCR inhibitors, and assesses hemolysis. Twelve predefined assays are provided for use with human, mouse, rat, monkey and dog samples drawn from tissue, cell culture and biofluids. The panel is available in 96- or 384-well format, with primer sets dispensed and lyophilized in each well in an amount sufficient for one 10 µl reaction per well.

Included assays cover miR-103, miR-191, miR-451, miR-23a, miR-30c and miR-124, together with UniSp2, UniSp3, UniSp4, UniSp5, UniSp6 and cel-miR-39-3p. miR-103 and miR-191 are biological markers found in most tissues; miR-451 is a marker of hemolysis in serum/plasma; miR-23a is an internal control for hemolysis in serum/plasma; miR-30c is a biological marker in kidney; and miR-124 is a biological marker in cerebrospinal fluid. UniSp2, UniSp4 and UniSp5 are spike-in assays controlling for RNA isolation quality; UniSp6 and cel-miR-39-3p are RT assays monitoring cDNA synthesis; and UniSp3 is an interplate calibrator and PCR efficiency control. When used with the RNA Spike-in Kit, the panel helps identify differences in RNA yield and outlier samples, and supports assessment of cDNA synthesis and PCR amplification efficiencies.
