Description
QIAGEN offers an in vivo Ready variant of its miRCURY LNA miRNA Power Target Site Blockers, purified for in vivo applications. The design uses LNA technology with a short oligonucleotide length and a modified phosphorothioate backbone, making it suitable for pharmacological use while minimizing toxicity.
As a Target Site Blocker, the oligonucleotide binds complementarily to the target mRNA at the miRNA target site. Once introduced into the cell, it binds strongly to that site and blocks the action of the miRNA, without affecting the activity of other miRNAs.
