These LNA-based oligonucleotides are designed to bind complementarily to the mRNA region targeted by a miRNA, blocking the miRNA's action at that specific site without affecting other miRNA activities.

Once introduced into cells, the TSB binds strongly to the miRNA target site, enabling custom inhibition at a chosen RNA region and supporting studies of the effect of a single miRNA target. Companion variants such as the in vivo Ready and in vivo Large Scale formats employ LNA technology with a short oligonucleotide length and a modified phosphorothioate backbone, features suited to pharmacological applications while minimizing toxicity, with the Large Scale option provided in amounts and quality appropriate for preclinical toxicity studies.
