MinElute Reaction Cleanup Kit (50)

This QIAGEN kit provides spin columns, buffers, and collection tubes for silica membrane-based cleanup of DNA 70 bp – 4 kb in size from enzymatic reactions. The bind–wash–elute procedure delivers DNA in elution volumes as small as 10 µl, yielding concentrated DNA in high yields. An integrated pH indicator enables easy determination of the optimal pH for DNA binding, and GelPilot Loading Dye containing xylene cyanol, bromophenol blue, and orange G is included to assist with agarose gel analysis.

Up to 5 µg of DNA can be purified per prep, with the procedure removing primers, nucleotides, enzymes, mineral oil, salts, agarose, ethidium bromide, and other impurities. The spin columns fit a standard microcentrifuge or any vacuum manifold with luer connectors, and the workflow can be fully automated on the QIAcube Connect.

Purified DNA is suitable for downstream applications including sequencing, microarray analysis, ligation, transformation, restriction digestion, labeling, microinjection, PCR, and in vitro transcription. The spin columns should be stored at 2–8°C upon arrival; short-term storage at room temperature (15–25°C) is stated not to affect performance.
