MinElute 96 UF PCR Purification Kit (24)

QIAGEN offers a 96-well ultrafiltration system for high-throughput purification of PCR products, processing up to 96 samples in parallel. The kit combines multiwell plate technology with an ultrafiltration membrane to recover double-stranded DNA fragments of ≥100 bp while removing primers (<20mers), unincorporated nucleotides, and salts. Typical DNA recovery (≥100 bp) is 80–95%, with reproducibility reported as CV ≤5%, and the system provides a DNA binding capacity of 15 µg per well.

Purified PCR products are eluted in a 20 µl volume, yielding high-concentration DNA suitable for downstream applications such as sequencing and microarray analysis. The system handles PCR sample volumes up to 150 µl using either a manual or fully automated procedure. In the manual workflow, samples are applied to the purification plate, vacuum is applied at –800 mbar for 5 min, and DNA is eluted in 20 µl of deionized water or a suitable buffer such as Buffer EB (10 mM Tris·Cl, pH 8.5). The complete manual procedure takes approximately 13 min for 96 samples.

Plates can be stored dry at room temperature (15–25°C) for up to 12 months without reduction in performance, capacity, or quality. The system is compatible with the QIAvac Multiwell Unit for manual use and with the BioRobot 3000 and BioRobot 8000 workstations for automated workflows.
