MegaCult-C 10% BSA, 6mL

A 6 mL vial of 10% bovine serum albumin solution formulated as a key accessory reagent for the MegaCult-C collagen-based colony assay platform from STEMCELL Technologies. This sterile supplement is added to the double-layered collagen matrix to support the growth and morphology of mouse megakaryocyte progenitor colonies (CFU-Mk) derived from bone marrow, spleen, or fetal liver. The albumin component provides protein stabilization for cytokines such as recombinant human thrombopoietin (TPO), IL-6, IL-11, and stem cell factor (SCF) that drive megakaryocyte differentiation during the 10 to 12 day culture period. Each lot is quality tested for colony-forming performance before release. For in vitro research use only, the reagent is stored frozen at -20 °C, protected from light, and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. This accessory reagent is not a complete medium on its own and must be combined with the MegaCult-C base medium and the appropriate cytokine cocktail for CFU-Mk enumeration.
