Investigator Quantiplex Pro Kit (200)

QIAGEN's Investigator Quantiplex Pro Kit is a ready-to-use quantitative real-time PCR assay developed for human identity testing and forensic applications. It enables reliable quantification and qualitative assessment of human and male DNA with a conventional 2 µL sample input per reaction, run in a 20 µL PCR volume. The assay uses TaqMan probe chemistry and combines trusted multi-copy markers for advanced assessment of sample quantity, degradation status, and inhibition in a single reaction.

The kit's targets include a human small autosomal target (91 bp), a human large autosomal target (353 bp) that also functions as a DNA Degradation Control, and a human male target on the small Y region (81 bp). An internal PCR control (434 bp) confirms successful amplification and reliably detects potential PCR inhibitors, correlating to STR tolerance. The Investigator Quantiplex Pro Kit provides exceptionally high sensitivity for male DNA, even in a very high background of female DNA (up to 400,000:1).

The kit meets ISO 18385 requirements and is validated for use on Applied Biosystems 7500 or QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR Systems. When running on these instruments, custom dye calibration for FAM, JOE, ATTO 550, ROX, and ATTO 647N is required, and calibration with the Investigator Quantiplex Pro Calibration Kit is recommended for optimal performance. It is suited to forensic database and casework samples, helping to determine whether sufficient intact human DNA is present to enable downstream STR or SNP analysis by capillary electrophoresis or NGS.
