Investigator 26plex QS Kit (400)

A 6-dye multiplex STR kit from QIAGEN, the Investigator 26plex QS Kit enables co-amplification of all Chinese National database loci and CODIS-required markers, along with DYS391 and Amelogenin, in a single reaction. With 25 loci, the kit provides very high discrimination power (PI 3.7 x 10⁻²⁹) and supports forensic casework, paternity testing, and other human identity testing applications. An integrated Quality Sensor aids decision making and data interpretation, while optimized FRM 3.0 chemistry delivers enhanced robustness against PCR inhibitors and improved stability.

The kit is validated per the recommendations of the European Network of Forensic Science Institute (ENFSI) and the Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM), and is manufactured in alignment with the ISO 18385 standard. Internal validations demonstrated robust and balanced results with 0.2 to 2 ng DNA under standard conditions (recommended DNA amount 0.5 ng), with reliable results down to less than 0.1 ng DNA. Testing with six inhibitors (calcium, ethanol, indigo carmine, hematin, humic acid, and tannic acid) confirmed high inhibitor tolerance, supporting the highest pass rates for the most challenging samples. The kit also delivers robust gender typing for all populations, even with degraded or inhibited samples.

Each amplification uses a 25 µl reaction volume with BT6 matrix and six fluorescence labels (6-FAM, BTG, BTY, BTR2, BTO, BTP). It is designed for use with Applied Biosystems 3500/3500xL Genetic Analyzers and is compatible with GeneMapper ID, GeneMapper ID-X, or Genotyper software. Reduced allelic overlap contributes to unambiguous results, making the kit well suited for crucial casework sample analysis.
