Internal Control RNA (High conc.)

This lyophilized internal control RNA from QIAGEN is supplied with a nucleic acid dilution buffer and is intended for use with the QuantiFast Pathogen +IC Kits range. It supports pathogen detection workflows, including real-time PCR of viral, bacterial or fungal DNA with the QuantiFast Pathogen PCR +IC Kit, and one-step RT-PCR for detection of viral RNA with the QuantiFast Pathogen RT-PCR +IC Kit.

Reactions are run in duplex format, combining the target assay with an internal control using sequence-specific probes. The workflow is compatible with most standard and fast real-time cyclers that support duplex PCR/RT-PCR, including the Rotor-Gene Q and instruments from Agilent, Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad and Roche. Compatible sample and target types include viral, bacterial or fungal DNA (with the PCR +IC Kit) and viral RNA (with the RT-PCR +IC Kit).

The associated probe-based one-step qRT-PCR master mix is supplied without ROX dye. Two separate ROX solutions are provided: a High-ROX Dye Solution for use with ABI cyclers except the ABI 7500, and a low-concentration ROX Dye Solution for use with the ABI 7500 and additional compatible instruments.
