Hu Recom VEGF-121, ACF, 100 µg

VEGF-121 is the shortest isoform of the Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor family, expressed here as a recombinant human protein in an animal component-free (ACF) production system. This 100 ug reagent from STEMCELL Technologies supports angiogenesis, endothelial cell biology, and directed stem cell differentiation workflows where a defined, xeno-compatible growth factor is required.

Because VEGF-121 lacks the heparin-binding domain present in longer isoforms such as VEGF-165, it diffuses freely through extracellular matrix and is well suited for studying VEGFR2/KDR signaling in standard 2D cell culture, tube formation assays, and 3D vascular organoid systems. Typical working concentrations range from 5 to 50 ng/mL for human endothelial cell proliferation and survival assays, and the lyophilized protein is reconstituted in sterile buffer containing carrier protein before dilution into culture medium.
