Hu Recom TNF-alpha, ACF, 10 µg

A recombinant human tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) preparation supplied by STEMCELL Technologies and formulated as an animal component-free (ACF) solid for use as a laboratory reagent. TNF-α facilitates adhesion of neutrophils, monocytes, and memory T cells to activated platelets and endothelial cells, supporting research workflows in stem cell identification and isolation.

Biological activity is determined by inhibition of mouse L929 cell proliferation in the presence of actinomycin D, measured after 48 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay. The EC50 in the manufacturer's example is 0.00877 ng/mL. Purity is evaluated by SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (−) conditions, with 1 μg of protein visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

The product is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), is chemically stable under recommended transport and storage conditions, and should be stored in accordance with the Product Information Sheet and handled using good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
