Hu Recom RANTES (CCL5), 20 µg

A human recombinant chemokine offered by STEMCELL Technologies, RANTES (CCL5) recruits a variety of leukocytes into inflammatory sites, including T cells, macrophages, eosinophils, and basophils. As part of STEMCELL's portfolio of cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors for immunology and stem cell research, this recombinant protein is produced under stringent criteria with a guaranteed purity of ≥ 95%. Endotoxin levels of ≤ 0.2 EU/μg protein help ensure consistency and reproducibility across multiple applications.

The biological activity of Human Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) was tested by its ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells, with cell migration measured after 45 min using a fluorometric assay method. An increase in migration over basal level was seen starting at 10 ng/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 7.9 kDa, and 1 μg was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
