Hu Recom RANTES (CCL5), 100 µg

A recombinant human chemokine supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a laboratory reagent for research use. RANTES recruits a variety of leukocytes into inflammatory sites, including T cells, macrophages, eosinophils, and basophils. The biological activity of the protein was tested by its ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells, with cell migration measured after 45 min using a fluorometric assay method. An increase in migration over basal level was seen starting at 10 ng/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 7.9 kDa, and 1 μg was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
