Hu Recom R-Spondin-1, 1000 µg

STEMCELL Technologies supplies a human recombinant R-Spondin-1 (RSPO1) protein, the prototype member of the R-Spondin subfamily. RSPO1 is expressed in CHO cells and provided as a lyophilized powder from a sterile-filtered phosphate-buffered saline solution, with a predicted molecular mass of 26.8 kDa. Alternative names include hRspo1 and Roof plate-specific Spondin-1 (UniProt accession Q2MKA7). Although unable to initiate signaling on its own, RSPO1 is a potent enhancer of WNT signaling; it activates β-catenin signaling via the WNT cascade and indirectly increases LRP6 levels on the cell surface by binding LGR5 and competing with the WNT antagonist DKK-1.

Quality specifications include a specific activity of ≥ 2.0 x 10^4 units/mg (EC50 ≤ 50 ng/mL) as determined by luciferase activity in HEK-293 cells in the presence of mouse Wnt-3a, a purity of ≥ 95%, and an endotoxin level of ≤ 1 EU/µg protein measured by kinetic Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) analysis. The product should be stored at -20 to -80 °C and is stable as supplied for 12 months from the date of receipt. Before opening, centrifuge the vial and reconstitute in sterile water to at least 0.1 mg/mL; do not vortex.
