Hu Recom PDGF-DD, 50 µg

A human recombinant growth factor supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a laboratory reagent for research use. The product belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor family alongside PDGF-AA, PDGF-AB, PDGF-BB and PDGF-CC.

According to the manufacturer, PDGF-DD promotes intracellular signaling and survival of renal artery smooth muscle cells and lens epithelial cells, and acts as a macrophage chemoattractant. Biological activity is assessed by the ability to promote proliferation of 3T3 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay; an example EC50 is 0.097 µg/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 14.0 kDa and was resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
