Biological activity was assessed by its ability to promote proliferation of 3T3 cells using a fluorometric assay, yielding an EC50 of 0.097 µg/mL. The protein was resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions and visualized with Coomassie Blue staining, showing a predicted molecular mass of 14.0 kDa.
